Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 3, 2026
This privacy policy describes how RePlan: AI Home Design (the "App"), provided by Deniz Ozagac (the "Developer"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App. The App does not require an account, and the Developer does not know who you are unless you contact us.
1. What information do we collect?
Photos you submit for redesign
When you pick or take a photo and ask the App to redesign it, the App sends that photo, the options you chose (for example the room type, a style, colors, or an instruction you typed) and, for some features, a second reference photo to the Developer's server. The server forwards them to Google's Gemini model, which generates the new image, and returns the result to your device. The Developer's server handles each request in memory and does not keep your photos or the generated designs after the result has been delivered. Google processes the images under Google's privacy policy and the Gemini API terms. The Developer uses your photos for no purpose other than producing the design you asked for.
Generated designs are shown in the App and are kept only if you save them to your Photos library or share them. The App does not keep a history of your designs.
Camera and photo library
The App asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo, and for photo library access only when you pick a photo or save a design. It does not scan or upload your library.
Personal information you disclose to us
The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal details to use it. During onboarding the App may ask optional questions about who you are (for example homeowner or professional) and what you want to achieve. Your answers are stored on your device and may be attached to anonymous analytics events to help the Developer understand which users find the App useful. If you contact support by email, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name and email address.
Payment data. Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Payment details are handled and stored by Apple, not by the Developer. The Developer uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to check your subscription status. This involves receipt information and anonymous identifiers, not your payment details.
Information automatically collected
The App uses analytics services (Amplitude and Google Firebase Analytics) to understand how the App is used and to improve it. These services automatically collect usage and diagnostic information such as device model, operating system version, language, app version, in-app events (for example, that a design was generated and which feature was used), session information, and approximate region derived from IP address.
Log and usage data. Service providers record diagnostic information such as crash reports, usage patterns, and timestamps.
Advertising measurement
The Developer promotes the App with ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and on Apple Search Ads. To measure whether those ads lead to installs and purchases, the App includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK and Apple's AdServices framework. The App itself shows no ads.
- With your permission. On first launch iOS shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you tap Allow, the App may share your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) together with app events such as install, app open, trial start and purchase with Meta, so that Meta can attribute them to an ad campaign. This is the only case in which the App tracks you across other companies' apps and websites. You can withdraw this permission at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, Tracking.
- Without permission. The App sends no advertising identifier. Meta may still receive aggregated, privacy preserving conversion counts through Apple's SKAdNetwork and Meta's Aggregated Event Measurement. These counts do not identify you.
- Apple Search Ads. The App requests an attribution token from Apple to learn whether the install came from an Apple Search Ads campaign. The token describes the campaign, not you.
2. How do we use your information?
The Developer processes information based on legitimate business interests, contract fulfillment, legal obligations, and user consent.
- Service delivery. Your photo and choices are used to generate the design you requested and to manage your subscription.
- Customer support. Information you send by email is used to respond to inquiries and address service issues.
- Analytics and improvement. Usage data helps the Developer understand which features work well and fix problems.
- Order fulfillment. Purchase information is used to unlock premium features and manage subscriptions.
- Advertising measurement. Attribution data is used to understand which ad campaigns bring new users, so the Developer can spend advertising budget responsibly. It is never used to show you ads inside the App.
The App does not send marketing emails and does not sell your data.
3. Will your information be shared with anyone?
The Developer shares information only with service providers needed to operate the App, for legal compliance, rights protection, or business obligations.
Service providers. The following third parties process data on the Developer's behalf:
- Google Gemini generates the design images from the photos you submit.
- Google Firebase runs the Developer's server that relays design requests, and provides analytics and app infrastructure.
- Apple processes payments and subscriptions and provides Search Ads attribution.
- RevenueCat manages subscription status.
- Amplitude provides usage analytics.
- Meta receives ad attribution data as described in section 1.
Legal bases for processing:
- User consent for specific purposes, including tracking for advertising measurement
- Legitimate business interests
- Contract performance
- Legal obligations and law enforcement compliance
- Vital interests involving safety or illegal activity investigation
Business transfers. Information may be shared during mergers, asset sales, financing, or business acquisitions.
Personal data sales. The Developer does not sell personal information to third parties.
4. What is our stance on third-party websites?
The App may link to third-party websites, such as the App Store or this website. The Developer is not responsible for the safety or privacy practices of third-party websites. Users should review third-party privacy policies directly.
5. How long do we keep your information?
Photos you submit and the designs generated from them are not retained by the Developer after the result is returned to your device. Other information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. When no legitimate business need exists, information is deleted, anonymized, or securely isolated from further processing.
6. How do we keep your information safe?
The Developer implements technical and organizational security measures to protect information, including encrypted connections between the App, the Developer's server and service providers. However, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and users access the App at their own risk.
7. What are your privacy rights?
Regional rights
Residents of the European Economic Area and United Kingdom possess rights including access to personal information, rectification, erasure, processing restrictions, and data portability. Users may withdraw consent at any time. EEA and UK residents may complain to their data protection supervisory authority.
Swiss residents can contact data protection authorities through the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Exercising your rights
The App does not use accounts, so there is no account to manage or delete. To request access to or deletion of analytics or attribution data associated with your device, contact contact@marcana.app. Requests are handled within 30 days, though legal requirements may necessitate retention of some records.
8. Controls for tracking and do-not-track features
The App asks for tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and respects your answer. You can change it at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, Tracking, where you can also switch off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" for every app. Denying tracking does not limit any feature of the App. Other iOS privacy settings let you further limit data sharing at the system level, and the Developer respects these preferences.
9. Do California residents have specific privacy rights?
Shine the Light law
California residents may request information annually regarding personal information categories disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes and third-party names and addresses. The Developer does not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
CCPA privacy notice
Resident definition. California residents include individuals in the state for non-temporary purposes or domiciled in California outside the state temporarily.
Collected personal information categories:
- Identifiers (device and app instance identifiers, and the advertising identifier when you allow tracking)
- Photos you choose to submit (processed to generate a design, not retained)
- Commercial information (subscription and purchase status)
- Usage data
- Diagnostics data
Data usage and sharing. Information collection and sharing practices are detailed throughout this privacy notice. Sharing your advertising identifier with Meta when you allow tracking may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out by denying tracking in iOS Settings.
Service provider disclosures. The Developer may disclose information to service providers through written contracts for processing on behalf of the business.
Personal data sales. The Developer has not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months and will not sell future information.
Consumer rights
- Right to deletion. Users may request personal information deletion subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to know. Users may request information regarding collection practices, categories collected, usage purposes, third-party sharing, and business purposes.
- Right to non-discrimination. The Developer will not discriminate against users exercising privacy rights.
- Verification process. Identity verification is required through previously provided information or communication methods. Additional information may be requested for security purposes.
10. Children's privacy
The App is rated for ages 4 and up and is designed for a general audience. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact contact@marcana.app and it will be deleted.
11. Do we make updates to this notice?
The privacy notice may be updated periodically to maintain legal compliance or to reflect changes in the App. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Material changes are communicated through prominent notices in the App or on this website.
12. How can you contact us about this notice?
